Success was the word to describe Epson Tour graduates and alumni playing in the LPGA Tour’s Ford Championship presented by KCC last week in Gilbert, Ariz. Nelly Korda, who graduated from the LPGA’s Official Qualifying Tour in 2016, made history on Sunday as she won her third consecutive Tour title and retained her Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1 status.
Last season’s Epson Tour Player of the Year, Gabriela Ruffels also had an impressive showing, signing for an opening 8-under 64 on Thursday and finishing in the top 15 for the second straight week. But ultimately, it was Epson Tour alumna Hira Naveed who shined brightest, finishing in solo second, two shots behind Korda at 18-under.
Here’s how the 2023 Epson Tour graduates who made the cut at the Ford Championship finished:
- Kristen Gillman (-15, T13)
- Gabriela Ruffels (-15, T13)
- Roberta Liti (-6, T63)
- Jenny Coleman (-5, T69)
