Epson Tour professionals Carly Werwie, Maribel Lopez Porras, Laura Gonzalez Escallon, Susy Benavides and Bradenton native Ericka Schneider worked with approximately 60 junior golfers on Monday at Suncoast Golf Center as part of the Capstan Financial Consulting Group junior clinic in Sarasota.
The junior golfers rotating between the driving range, chipping area and putting green. The professionals worked with the junior on swing mechanics, rhythm and balance.
“It was really exciting, when you see a little girl hit a really good shot after what you taught them to do, it’s an unbelievable feeling,” said Susy Benavides.
All clinic participants received a gift bag and two complimentary grounds passes for the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay to be used by adults.
“I had a lot of people helping me when I was little so I think it’s great when we have an opportunity to give back,” said Carly Werwie.
The junior clinic was a partnership between the Epson Tour, The First Tee of Sarasota/Manatee, The Greater Sarasota Junior Golf Association and Girls Golf
