Sholer started playing golf at the age of 13 years old. She enjoys sports and music and if she weren't playing professional golf she would be a college coach.

- Recorded five wins in collegiate competition while at Oklahoma City University.
- 2006 Ontario Ladies Champion.
- Individual winner of the 2006 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.
- Three-time NAIA All-American First Team selection (2006, 2008, 2009).
- Member of the three-time winning NAIA Women's Golf National Championship team (2006-2008).
- 2007 NAIA All-American Honorable Mention selection.
- Finished third individually at the 2008 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship.
- Competed in the 2009 CN Canadian Women's Open.
