Gabriela Ruffels
After winning at the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic, Ruffels will tee it up at the IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa. The 22-year-old secured her first Epson Tour victory last week in Arizona after boasting a solid rookie year in 2022. Unfortunately, Ruffels finished 15th on the 2022 official money list, missing her LPGA Tour card by five spots. However, winning early and carrying that momentum through the season could help the Australian native secure her LPGA Tour membership for the 2024 season.
Kathleen Scavo
Scavo started her junior campaign on the Epson Tour this season and started strong. After missing the cut at Florida’s Natural Charity Classic, the 25-year-old fired off a first-round 66 at the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic. Holding steady throughout Friday’s second round and the weekend, Scavo secured her second career top-10 finish. The California native finished second behind Gabi Ruffels and is in high spirits heading into the rest of the season.
Jillian Hollis
Jillian Hollis is two-for-two in cuts made so far this season and tees it up in a place she’s been successful at already in her career. The 25-year-old was the 2019 IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa champion, one of three to compete for the 2023 title. The former University of Georgia Bulldog started 2023 strong, finishing T2 and losing in a one-hole playoff at Florida’s Natural Charity Classic. However, having prior success in Beaumont, California, could propel Hollis to another win and put her one step closer to regaining LPGA Tour membership.
