After the sixth tournament of the 2021 Epson Tour season, the Race for the Card rankings welcomes one new name after the Epson Classic at River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC.
Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) continues to maintain the No. 1 spot in the money list with the help of two wins so far this season and earnings of $67,220. Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain) who has four top-10 finishes in four events and season earnings of $54,806.
“We are six tournaments in and a fourth of the season is over. I don’t want to get too comfortable, but I feel like I am on the few players up there that has not gotten a win yet, so that is something to build on,” said Fernandez Cano. “I feel like a win should come sometime soon, I’m playing good, and I just need to put three rounds together and I’ll get it, so I just have to stay patient.”
Checking in at No. 3 is Lilia Vu (Foutain Valley, California) with season earnings of $44, 620 and following right behind at No. 4 is Road to the LPGA rookie Sophie Hausmann (Nottuln, Germany) who took home a winner’s check at the IOA Championship of $22,500 in Beaumont, CA and has total earnings $33,053 this season. Joining the group for the first time this season with earnings of $36,762 is Casey Danielson (Osceola, Wisconsin) at No. 5 after claiming her first professional win at the Epson Classic.
“Getting a win definitely gives me confidence and a boost up the money list I would need to make the top-10,” said Danielson. “There is still a lot of golf left this season, so I am going to celebrate this win and then keep my head down and keep working because it’s not over until the last put falls in October.”
At No. 6 is Maude-Aimee Leblanc (Sherbrooke, Quebec) who claimed a second finish at the Copper Rock Championship and season earnings of $33,382. Joining at No. 7 is Bailey Tardy (Norcross, Georgia) who stays in the top-10 for a third consecutive week with $32,701 and Isi Gabsa (Munich, Germany) checks in at No. 8 after earning $28,502 highlighted by three top-5 finishes so far this year. Haylee Harford (Leavittsburg, Ohio) is right behind with $25,695 and Morgane Metraux (Laussnae, Switzerland) completes the group with $22,891.
At the end of the season, the top-10 players in the Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2022 campaign.
