LILIA VU, GOES LOW ON FINAL ROUND
Current No. 1 in the Race for the Card, Lilia Vu entered this week with the same mindset as she has every week, to win. While the first two round might not have been as strong as she hoped, Sunday she put on a show. She carded ten birdies and two-bogeys to go -9 and finish the day at -13, putting the pressure on the leaders who teed off later in the morning, to finish strong.
“I struggled on the first round and in the second round so it feels really good to play well today. You can really attack the pins here, that's been one thing that I learned over the past three days,” said Vu. “I'm just going to keep having fun and do my own thing. I need to work on my drives. I think I hit 5 fairways my first round so it was bad, I was hitting more fairways now.”
Vu has two wins so far this season; Garden City Charity Classic and Twin Bridges Championship. She will maintain the No. 1 spot on the money list for another week, with six events left in the season to claim their card.
