After the eighth tournament of the 2021 Epson Tour season, the Race for the Card rankings welcomes two new names after the IOA Golf Classic presented by RP Funding at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Fla.
For the eighth straight week, Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) maintains the No. 1 spot in the money list with the help of two wins so far this season and earnings of $68,663. Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain) who has six top-10 finishes in seven events and season earnings of $60,401, follows right behind at No. 2.
“It feels great to continue being in second place after another week of competition. I have been playing some really solid golf and I love to see the hard work continue to pay off,” said Fernandez Cano. “Even though I’m pleased with my performance, I still think there’s some work to do and look forward to keep getting better to improve my place on the Race for the Card.”
Staying at No. 3 is Garden City Charity Classic champion, Lilia Vu (Fountain Valley, California), with season earnings of $49,820. Following right behind at No. 4 is Road to the LPGA rookie Sophie Hausmann (Nottuln, Germany) who took home a winner’s check at the IOA Championship of $22,500 in Beaumont, CA and has total earnings $41,632 this season. Staying at No. 5 with season earnings of $41,027 is Allison Emrey (Charlotte, North Carolina) who claimed her first professional win at the IOA Golf Classic presented by RP Funding.
Maude-Aimee Leblanc (Sherbrooke, Quebec) who claimed a second-place finish at the Copper Rock Championship and IOA Championship presented by Morongo Casino Resort and Spa joins the money list at No. 6 with $37,938. Casey Danielson (Osceola, Wisconsin) says in the top-10 but moves down to No. 7 with earnings of $36,762. Checking in at No. 8 is Florida State University Seminole, Amanda Doherty (Atlanta, Georgia), who has claimed three top-10 finishes this year and $35,017 in earning.
“Being in the top-10 in the first half of the season is very exciting, but I know there is a lot of golf left to be played,” said Danielson. “I’m looking forward to continuing to stay competitive the rest of the summer and work on securing one of those spots by October.”
At No. 9 with $34,281 is Samantha Wagner (Windermere, Florida) who claimed her eighth career top-10 last week at the Mission Inn Resort and Club Championship. Bailey Tardy (Norcross, Georgia) completes the group with $33,750 so far this year.
At the end of the season, the top-10 players in the Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2022 campaign.
