After the 14th tournament of the 2021 Epson Tour season, the Race for the Card rankings sees minimal movement after the FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship at Battle Creek Country Club in Battle Creek, MI.
After carding a final round -9 on Sunday, Lilia Vu (Fountain Valley, California) finished T2 and added her 7th top-10 finish of the season to her resume, which includes two wins. Vu has earned $110,607 this season in thirteen starts. Casey Danielson (Osceola, Wisconsin) maintains the No. 2 spot with $83,442 in winnings. Maude-Aimee Leblanc (Sherbrooke, Quebec), with three runner-up finishes this season and earnings of $81,554, stays at No. 3.
Making eight cuts in twelve starts this season, Ruixin Liu (Guangdong, People’s Republic of China) enters the week in South Bend, IN at No. 4 with $75,918. She is one of three players so far this year to claim two wins, both of which she won in playoffs. For the third consecutive week, Fatima Fernandez Cano (Santiago, Spain) checks in at No. 5 after collecting $73,979 thanks to the help of seven top-10 finishes in 14 starts.
“It’s been so great to have a full season this year and I can’t believe we are already entering week 15 on the road. I am continuing to learn more and more about my game out here, but my mindset and goal have stayed the same,” said Fernandez Cano. “I am determined to finish top-10 this season and looking forward to these next few tournaments. There are a few new events in the mix I am excited about, so thank you to all the sponsors who have been working with the Epson Tour to make it all happen.”
Rachel Rohanna (Marianna, Pennsylvania) claimed back-to-back runner up finishes ahead of finishing T9 on Sunday in Battle Creek. With $67,697 in season earnings, Rohanna stays at No.6 for another week. The 2021 Island Resort Championship winner, Morgane Metraux (Laussane, Switzerland) sits at No. 7 with $64,141 and Amanda Doherty (Atlanta, Georgia) is right behind with $62,999. Completing the group are IOA Golf Classic presented by RP Funding champion Allison Emrey (Charlotte, North Carolina) and Isi Gabsa (Munich, Germany) with $52,512.
At the end of the season, the top-10 players in the Race for the Card standings will graduate onto the LPGA Tour for the 2022 campaign.
