After carding only one bogey and six birdies on Saturday at the Prasco Charity Championship, Lori Beth Adams (Burlington, North Carolina) is -6 and tied for the lead ahead of the final round. Two years ago, Adams claimed one of her eleven career top-10’s in Maineville with a T3 finish behind Patty Tavatanakit and Perrine Delacour.
“I am being really patient out there with the wind. Pars are good no matter what and I have been sticking to my game plan of letting the birdies fall,” said Adams. “The course is definitely playing differently than last time, it’s windier. It’s also usually hot so we have been lucky with the clouds this week, but with the wind alone it’s playing tough. I think this course really fits my game so I just like it and it feels like I am back at home.”
The two-time All-CAA First Team member and 2013 CAA Women’s Golfer of the Year for University of North Carolina Wilmington will tee off in the final pairings at 12:30 p.m. ET tomorrow off No. 1 tee.
