Rookie Pajaree Anannarukarn arrives in Davidson, North Carolina poised for her first win on Tour with three top 10s in three starts. The Thailand native will play alongside Alejandra Llaneza and rookie Nuria Iturrios in the first two rounds.
In Llaneza’s fifth appearance at the Symetra Classic, she is looking to improve on her best finish of T-6 in 2013. This week, Iturrios is making her first start in Davidson after coming off a T-26 finish at last week’s Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic.
Dottie Ardina, Olivia Cowan, Csicsi Rozsa
8:36 a.m. – 1st Tee
Dottie Ardina is making her third start of the season and the fourth appearance at the Symetra Classic, she looks to improve on her T-11 result in 2016. Ardina is coming off a runner-up finish at the Self Regional Foundation Healthcare Women’s Health Classic and will play alongside rookie Olivia Cowan and Csicsi Rozsa in the opening rounds.
Cowan is coming off a T-14 finish last week in Greenwood and looks to build on her solid play; she is making her first start in the Symetra Classic. This week, Rozsa is making her second start in the Symetra Classic, her only other start resulted in a missed cut in 2017.
Lori Beth Adams, Lindsay Gahm, Stephanie Meadow
1:14 p.m. – 1st tee
In Lori Beth Adams’ second appearance at the Symetra Classic, she looks to improve on her T-58 result in 2017. Adams is coming off a T-46 finish in Greenwood and hopes to make her four consecutive cut of the season; she will play alongside Lindsay Gahm and Stephanie Meadow in the opening rounds. Gahm is making her second start in Davidson and looks to better her missed cut result in 2015.
Volvik Race for the Card No. 3 Meadow arrives in Greenwood already a winner in 2018 after winning the IOA Championship. She is making her second start in this week’s Symetra Classic and looks to become the first two-time winner this season.
Jenny Haglund, Krystal Quihuis, Jenny Coleman
1:25 p.m. – 10th Tee
Jenny Haglund looks to earn her first victory on the Symetra Tour and continue moving up the money list; she currently sits 10th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list. The first-year member has put herself in contention on more than one occasion this year with two top 10s and a T-18 in three starts. Haglund is grouped with fellow rookie Krystal Quihuis and Jenny Coleman in the opening rounds.
Quihuis has had a solid start to her rookie season with four consecutive cuts. She’s coming off a T-14 finish last week in Greenwood and looks to build on her solid play; she is making her first start in the Symetra Classic. Coleman is making her third start in Davidson with the first two starts resulting in missed cuts; she’s hoping the third time is the charm and rally off her T-22 finish at last week’s Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic.
