LONGWOOD, Florida, October 1, 2017 - The second-round of the IOA Golf Classic resumed on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and concluded at 1:57 p.m. with Hannah Green (Perth, Australia) in the lead by two-strokes. Green played her final 14 holes of the second round and shot a 4-under, 67. After a 7-under, 64 on Friday, Green heads into the final-round at 11-under, 131. She is two shots clear of Allison Emrey (Charlotee, N.C.), who has turned in rounds of 66-67 and is 9-under, 133.
A total of 62 players made the cut at 2-over, 144.
The final-round of the IOA Golf Classic will begin at 2:45 p.m. and is expected to conclude on Monday morning. The final-round will begin Sunday afternoon and will continue until darkness.
Green, 20, started Sunday on hole 14 and made par and then chipped in for birdie on the par-3 15th.
“That was the first green that I missed in over 20 holes,” said Green, who hit 18-of-18 greens in regulation on Friday. “I was actually pretty upset and it had a lot of mud on the ball so I was just like let’s get it close and for that to go in was nice.”
After signing her scorecard around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Green was a bit tired and ready for a break before the final-round.
“I know we’ve only played 36 holes, but it feels like 72,” said Green. “It’s crazy that we are on a Sunday afternoon and have only played 36. Definitely very mentally tough this week having to stay patient. It’s a lot more mentally draining than physically.”
Now, the waiting game begins for Green.
“I have no idea what my tee time will be so I’ll probably go eat and then if I have the chance, I’ll go to sleep because it was an early morning today and a late night last night.”
Green has two wins this season on the Epson Tour and a third victory and the $22,500 prize would jump her to third on the Volvik Race for the Card money list. She’d become the third player this season to cross $100,000 in earnings. The most that have earned $100,000 in a single-season is two in 2016.
Emrey, who was paired with Green in the first two rounds, is in position to chase her first career Epson Tour victory. She has seven career top ten finishes and six this season.
“It has been a really long 24 hours because we started yesterday so I’ve tried to take it hole-by-hole and not get ahead of myself,” said Emrey. “I started well yesterday with our four holes and then just tried to keep it going today.”
Emrey made five birdies over her final 14 holes on Sunday to move from a tie for fourth to second.
“I’m hitting the ball well and putting well so that is a good combo,” said Emrey, who ranks 28th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list. “I haven’t been able to get those two things going so far this season so it is nice to see them working well together.”
Emrey can move as high as 12th with a victory at the IOA Golf Classic.

Hannah Green (Perth, Australia), who led after a 64 on day one, didn’t tee off until 6:04 p.m. and played four holes and made birdie on three to get to 10-under through 22 holes. She is four shots up on the field.Yu Liu (Beijing, China) and Clariss Guce (Artesia, Calif.) are in the clubhouse through 36 holes at 5-under, 137.
The second-round will resume on Sunday, October 1 at 8:30 a.m. Following the completion of the second-round, there will be a cut to the low 60 and ties and the final-round will begin approximately 45 minutes after the completion of round two.
The current plan, which is subject to change based on weather, is to complete round two on Sunday and begin the final-round and then finish the final-round on Monday. The 54-hole tournament will not end on Sunday as there are still 23 groups and 69 players that have yet to finish round two.
Moreno, who played 27 holes on Saturday, finished her first-round with a 67 and then carded a 2-under, 69 in round two.
“I was just ready to go, to be honest because the weather looked really good and I thought I can do this,” said Moreno, who started at 10 a.m. and didn’t finish until 6:30 p.m. “I just put my mind to it and I feel fine, I just want to have some food now.”
Moreno closed her day with a birdie on her 26th hole of the day and a very good par save on nine to end her day.
“I’m happy with the way I played and I finished really strong,” said Moreno. “It was a long day and at the end it was really hard for me to focus, but I’m happy with how I stayed in the present. We will see what happens, if I have to play again, I will be ready.”
The 31-year-old will go for her fourth career Epson Tour win on Sunday and Monday.
“I think I’m just really happy to be here and I’m enjoying myself and enjoying the ride,” said Moreno. “I’m not really focused on what to do on the course, I’m just hitting shots.
Moreno is one of four players staying with LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan and his wife, Meg, this week.
“They are so sweet,” said Moreno, who had Mike and Meg following her for a few holes on Saturday. “We are so excited to stay with them. They are really great hosts
