Park Sterling Cup to player that wins all three Carolina events
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA, April 24, 2014 – The Epson Tour, comprised of the future stars of the LPGA, will have a chance to win $1 million this season as part of a new sponsorship between Park Sterling Bank (Nasdaq: PSTB) and the three tournaments that comprise the Epson Tour’s Carolina swing.
The $1 million Park Sterling Cup will be awarded if the same player wins all three events contested this season in North and South Carolina, which include the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Charity Classic (May 8-11 in Greenwood, S.C.), the Friends of Mission Charity Classic (May 16-18 in Asheville, N.C.) and the Epson Classic (May 22-24 in Charlotte, N.C.).
“Park Sterling is proud to be a part of this amazing promotion that we hope will help these players who aspire to be future stars of the LPGA,” said James C. Cherry, Park Sterling’s Chief Executive Officer. “The Carolinas are part of our community and we are excited about our sponsorship as it is a great way to show support of local businesses.”
The Park Sterling Cup cash prize does not count toward the official money list.
“We’re excited to welcome Park Sterling to the Epson Tour and greatly appreciate their support of our players and events,” said Mike Nichols, Chief Business Officer of the Epson Tour. “We look forward to the added suspense created over these three tournaments as one of our players chases such a large cash prize.”
