ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, May 15, 2014 – Epson Tour player Jean Chua recently won the Volvik Drive Further Performance Award for series number one. She will receive an iPad Air for her on-course performance over the last six Epson Tour tournaments courtesy of Volvik.
Chua, who plays Volvik golf balls on Tour, made the cut in each of the last six events and finished in the top-40 in five of six tournaments. Her best two finishes were a T14 at the Florida’s Natural Charity Classic and a T19 at the Guardian Retirement Championship at Sara Bay.
The 26-year-old finished in a tie for 34th at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic in Greenwood, South Carolina.
"We are so fortunate to have these rising professionals play our product and we wanted to come up with a way to reward Volvik players for their play on the Epson Tour," said Volvik USA President Don Shin. Chua currently ranks 38th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
The Volvik Drive Further Performance Awards reward the highest finishing Volvik golf ball players gas cards after each tournament. The Volvik player with the highest finish in each event receives a $250 gas card while the Volvik player with the second highest finish gets a $150 gas card and the Volvik player with the third highest finish will receive a $100 gas card.
In addition, Volvik is giving three cumulative prizes this year based on performance in a series of six events. Chua is the first recipient of the iPad Air.
The next series of tournaments will include the Friends of Mission Charity Classic, the Epson Classic, the Firekeepers Casino Hotel Championship, the Decatur-Forsyth Classic, the Four Winds Invitational and the Island Resort Championship.
