Elizabeth Szokol started the final round five shots off the lead in a tie for fifteenth at the 2018 IOA Invitational. Posting a 4-under par on Sunday was enough to put Szokol atop the leaderboard and in postion to pick up her first win on Symetra Tour. Szokol defeated Pajaree Anannarukarn by one stroke to take home the trophy.
An uphill dog leg left with out of bounds on the left and a hazard down the entir right side. Drive towards the right fairway bunker leaving a mid to short iron into the green. The approach shot plays uphill to a green that slopes from back to front.
Tee shot is downhill favoring the left side of the fairway with out of bounds on the right and left. An easy straight forward layup with the bigger hitters having the opportunity to reach the green in two.
An uphill tee shot keeping the ball left of the multiple fairway bunkers is key. The approach shot is downhill with a short iron to a green surrounded by out of bounds right and hazard left and behind the green.
There is a bunker on the right that you need to stay left of off the tee. There is out of bounds all the way up the left and right. The layup needs to left of the second fairway bunker on the hole. The longer hitters can have the chance to go for the green with a good drive.
This par 3 is all carry over water with out of bounds on the left and tall pines on the right.
Straight away uphill tee shot with bunkers and out of bounds on the right and tree lined on the left. With a good drive the player is left with a short iron and a real good birdie chance.
Slight dog leg right with trees and ot of bounds right and two fairway bunkers on the left. The approach shot is downhill to a big green with 3 greenside bunkers.
Straight tee shot with bunker front right and a bunker back left guarding the green.
Slight dog leg left with out of bounds right and left. Tee shot needs to be right of the left fairway bunker. The approach is downhill with a short iron. With good tee shot makes the hole a good birdie opportunity.
Tee shot is straight away staying left of the fairway bunker. Trees line the entire right side of the hole and out of bounds down the left. The layup is downhill leaving a short approach for the third shot. The big hitters can tak on the fairway bunker and get home in two.
Straight away uphill par 4 with a fairway bunker on the right and out of bounds right. The approach is uphill to a green that is two-tiered. It is key to have the approach on the same level as the flag.
Dog leg right par 4 with two fairway bunkers at the corner of the dog leg and hazard over them and out of bounds all down the right. The tee shot calls for a fairway wood or long iron off the tee which will leave a long iron approach that plays uphill to a green that slopes big from back to front. Over the green is straight downhill and out of bounds.
This is a dog leg left with out of bounds down the left. It is key to drive the ball in the fairway because the second shot is all carry over water. true risk-reward par 4 will almost certainly be best played with a tee ball just short and right of the fairway bunker. This will help avoid direct flight over the swarm of intimidating greenside bunkers short and left of the green.
Short downhill par 3 with bunkers front and left and a big green sloping from back to front.
Short straight away hole with an uphill tee shot. Out of bounds left and right and a fairway bunker on the left and right. A tee shot splitting the bunkers leaves a shot approach and a great birdie chance.
A short par 5 dog leg left that requires pin point accuracy off the tee and on the second shot. There is out of bounds both right and left off the tee. The tee shot is either fairway wood or hybrib to the corner of the dog leg or the longer players can take on the dog leg. The second shot is a risk reward shot. If you layup you have to stay short of the water in front of the green. If you attack this hole in two the shot is all carry. This hole can definitely be a momentum changer.
Slight dog leg left with a big fairway bunker guarding the left side of the fairway. Out of bounds both left and right off the tee. The second shot is uphill to a two-tiered green.
This the signature hole is downhill over water. There is mounds left of the green that help the ball bounce towards the green. There is a bunker that guards the front right of the green and the water runs around the right side of the hole.
