Carley Cox
Carley Cox has been the player to look out for over the past two weeks on tour. Cox has finished in the top 3 in the last two events and added a new career low in the process with an 8-under 64 in the final round of the Guardian Championship. Before the start of the Guardian Championship, Cox was sitting at No. 77 in the Race for the Cards standings, 42 spots away from getting into the 2023 LPGA Q-Series. Now, heading into the Tuscaloosa Toyota Classic, she is No. 32 on the Epson Tour's Official Money Lst and inside the top 35 with two tournaments to play. A strong finish this week could lock up a start at LPGA Q-Series for Cox.
Minji Kang
Minji Kang has one of the best seasons going for a rookie on tour, sitting at No. 7 in the Race for the Card Standings, and has done so without a win in 2023. The 23-year-old is third in top-10 finishes on the season with seven, fourth in scoring average at 70.339, and second in birdies made with 232. Kang is one of four rookies in the top 10 and is looking to become the second rookie to clinch her card behind Natasha Andrea Oon. Kang heads into the event making 10 straight cuts and is just under $2,000 away from becoming the seventh player this year to break the $100,000 mark on the season.
Jenny Bae
Jenny Bae enters the week coming off her first top-10 finish since the French Lick Resort Charity Classic. Bae won back-to-back tournaments at the Hartford HealthCare Women's Championship and the Twin Bridges Championship earlier in the year, in just her second and third starts ever on the Epson Tour. The University of Georgia alumna is currently sitting at No. 8 in the Race for the Card, with about half of the events played compared to everyone else in the top 10. With a win, Bae would join Gabriela Ruffels as a three-time winner on the Epson Tour and would clinch her LGPA Tour card for the 2024 season. Bae has not shot over in any round during her last two events and will try to carry momentum into Tuscaloosa this weekend.
