A second round 5-under 67 moved Elin Arvidsson (Falkenburg, Sweden) from T33 to T2 on Friday. At -4 through 36 holes, she is four strokes back from the lead and will play in the final pairing tomorrow at Copper Rock Golf Course.
“My game has been feeling pretty good these first couple of events. I just haven’t dropped many putts, but today I did, and I put the ball in the right position the first five on the back nine. That last four were tough though,” said Arvidsson. “Playing four par-4s in the wind was a big factor. I scrambled together the last couple of holes and am happy about my finish.”
Arvidsson is in her sixth year as a professional and has three career top-10 finishes. Most recently she tied for fifth at the 2020 Epson Classic, but Arvidsson looks forward to a full 2021 season and is enjoying one of the newest events on the “Road to the LPGA.”
“Copper Rock, its sponsors and all the volunteers are doing a fabulous job. You can tell that they are very excited for us to be here and we are as well. This is going to be a fantastic stop on the Epson Tour several years in the future.”
