“It’s great to see first-hand the dedication and drive that Grant has,” said Sheary. “His work ethic to get better even though he no longer plays competitively is very motivational. He’s a tremendous athlete and an even better person.”
Sheary and Hill recently posed for a fun picture at Better Every Day when Duke and Wake Forest were getting ready to play basketball. Of course, Hill was a 2-time NCAA national champion (1991, 1992) and is widely considered one of the greatest to play at Duke. Sheary played golf at Wake Forest and was the 2009 ACC Player of the Year. It was just the typical friendly college rivalry. Duke won the game 85-83.
Sheary, who won the 2016 W.B. Mason Championship, enters 2017 off her best season yet. She finished 18th on the Volvik Race for the Card money list.
