Rolex Rankings No. 1 Inbee Park held off a surging Catriona Matthew, sinking an 18-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff at the Wegmans LPGA Championship to capture her seventh-career victory and third major championship.

The LPGA Tour is set to make its return to Rochester, N.Y. this week for the Wegmans LPGA Championship and a large contingent of Symetra Tour alums will be amongst the 144-player field.

Jennifer Johnson shot a final-round 7-under 65 to become a Rolex First-Time Winner at the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic. The Carlsbad, Calif. native carded rounds of 67-70-65-65 to break the tournament record with a 21-under par 267 total and finished one stroke ahead of Pornanong Phatlum and Jessica Korda.

After a week off, the LPGA is set to rev up again this week as the Tour heads to the Gulf Coast for the Mobile Bay LPGA Classic.

It was another fight to the finish in Williamsburg, Va. at the Kingsmill Championship, as Cristie Kerr outlasted Suzann Pettersen in a two-hole sudden death playoff for her 16th career victory.
