2012 Player of the Year
It has been an up-and-down road for Esther Choe since she turned professional five years ago, but 2012 proved to be a breakout season for the Scottsdale, Ariz. native as she was named this year’s Symetra Tour’s Player of the Year.
Everything seemed to click this year for Choe, as she earned Player of the Year in record-breaking fashion. Choe finished atop the tour’s money list with the fewest events (six) played in history of Tour, beating out Grace Park and Lorena Ochoa who had previously held the record with 10 events in 1999 and 2002 respectively.
“I didn’t expect it coming in this year,” said Choe. “I’ve been struggling the last few years but I feel like I’ve always made positive improvements. I never gave up and kept trying things. I think I finally got a good team of people together around me and I just started thinking positively.” More>>
