Northeast Delta Dental International Returns to New Hampshire

Saco, ME – The Northeast Delta Dental International Symetra Tournament – Road to the LPGA is the only professional golf tournament north of Boston.  It returns to Concord, New Hampshire, to Beaver Meadow Golf Course (One Beaver Meadow Drive) beginning with events on Tuesday, July 16, and tournament play beginning on Friday, July 19, through Sunday, July 21, 2013.
One hundred forty-two professional women golfers from around the world will compete at Beaver Meadow for a piece of the $100,000 purse and a chance to earn one of 10 coveted spots on the LPGA Tour.  Fans were riveted at last year’s tournament during a sudden death playoff at the 18th hole between Jenny Gleason and Esther Choe and were delighted as Gleason managed to tap in for last year’s victory.
New this year: An 18-hole qualifier in early June for New England women amateurs. The top two qualifiers will be eligible to participate in the Northeast Delta Dental New Hampshire International.
The Symetra Tour -- Road to the LPGA consists of 15 tournaments played in 11 different states, with 300 women professionals representing 33 different countries.  More than 500 Tour alumni are members of the LPGA.  This year, the Symetra Tour players’ purse totals $1.8 million.
