As the LPGA Tour heads across the pond to the land down under, all 10 recent Symetra Tour grads will tee it up at the season-opening ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open.

The accomplished list of 2012 Symetra Tour graduates who finished in the top-10 in the Volvik Race for the Card include Julia Boland, Esther Choe, Victoria Elizabeth, Jenny Gleason, Daniela Iacobelli, Paola Moreno, Sara Maude Juneau, Mi Hyang Lee, Nicole Smith, and Thidapa Suwannapura.

While Gleason, Moreno, Lee, and Suwannapura are all previous members of the LPGA Tour, for Boland, Choe, Elizabeth, Iacobelli, Juneau, and Smith the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open marks the first event of their highly anticipated rookie season.

Choe is looking to maintain momentum coming off a stellar 2012 season on the Symetra Tour where she was named Player of the Year, finishing atop the season-ending Volvik Race for the Card standings. She paved her way on The Road to the LPGA with two wins and two runner-up finishes.

With the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open set to take place February 14-17 at Royal Canberra Golf Club in Yarralumla, Australia, Boland will return home to compete in her first-ever LPGA event in front of her fellow Aussies. Boland joins an elite list of fellow Australian Symetra Tour alums including Karrie Webb, Lindsey Wright, and Sarah Jane Smith.
