Inbee Park Headlines Symetra Tour Alum at LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship

The LPGA Tour is gearing up for its second stop on the Asia swing as the tour heads to Incheon, South Korea for the LPGA KEB HanaBank Championship. The Ocean Course at the Sky 72 Golf Club welcomes 69 players that include 19 Symetra Tour alums who will contend for a $1.8 million purse and a $270,000 first place prize.

Inbee Park, who made her way to the LPGA Tour after finishing third on the 2006 Symetra Tour’s season-ending money list, will headline the list of alums set to tee-it-up in this week’s event. Park is coming off her second win of the season after capturing a two-stroke victory over Na Yeon Choi at last week’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.

Arguably one of the most consistent players as of late, Park has finished no worse than tied for her third in her previous six starts on tour. After her victory last week, Park moved inside the top-five in the Rolex Rankings and extended her lead on the LPGA’s official money list to $334,137 over fellow Symetra Tour alum, Stacy Lewis.

In addition, three Symetra Tour Players of the Year are also in this week’s field including Vicky Hurst (2008), Mina Harigae (2009), and Cindy LaCrosse (2010).
