Holiday Q&A with Nicole Smith

Christmas is a time for family to gather and friends to visit. A time to spread peace and happiness all around. Lights hung on tree branches, bright bows on the perfect presents and the crackle of the fire in the fireplace are all part of this special time of year. SymetraTour.com caught up with Nicole Smith to find out her thoughts on the perfect gift and how she would be spending the holiday break.

What are you doing for the holidays?
Seeing all my family and celebrating the holidays. We rotate whose house for Christmas too!

Are you a late or early Christmas shopper?
I start early, trying to get it done between golfing and trips, so I can make sure I find something perfect for everyone. I don't buy a lot of presents. I am more into thoughtful gifts than having to buy a present for someone just because it is the holidays. I love the holidays for spending time with family.

Hardest/easiest person to buy for?
Only buy if I see something that makes me think about that person. Like ohh they would really like that!

Favorite Christmas song?
Rudolph song, first thing that popped in my head.

Real or artificial tree? When does it go up/come down?
Real is awesome but fake is SO much easier. We have had fake tree at my parents for quite a few years and I love it. Had a real one last year at my home and it was not fun cleaning up after it.

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Morning.

Any family traditions?
Not really

Favorite ornament or decoration?
No.

Do you live where it snows? If yes, are you hoping for a white Christmas?
Nope no snow in Southern California

One thing that makes you happiest at Christmas?
Actually being home with the family, being with all the people I love

What's the best holiday gift you've ever given? And received
My brother and I put together a big collage of photos from our childhood - little nicole and little justin - for our parents. They loved it! It hangs I our house. We all love to look at it. Best holiday gift was when I was 21, my aunt gave me this gorgeous ring with a beautiful December blue traditional birthstone. I love it.
