Holiday Q&A with Britney Choy

Christmas is a time for family to gather and friends to visit. A time to spread peace and happiness all around. Lights hung on tree branches, bright bows on the perfect presents and the crackle of the fire in the fireplace are all part of this special time of year. SymetraTour.com caught up with Britney Choy to find out her thoughts on the perfect gift and how she would be spending the holiday break.

What are you doing for the holidays?
Have a Christmas Eve dinner with my family in Hawaii.

Are you a late or early Christmas shopper?
I am usually a late Christmas shopper.  I hate shopping.

Hardest/easiest person to buy for?
The hardest people to buy a gift for are my parents; I don’t want to just buy them anything because I want it to mean something.  The easiest is my brother, Ryan.  I know what he likes and he will like whatever I buy him anyway.

Favorite Christmas song?
Ehhh..not a huge fan of Christmas music.

Real or artificial tree? When does it go up/come down?
My mom puts up the artificial white Christmas tree a couple weeks before Christmas and takes it down pretty soon after.

Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas morning...when its 80 degrees outside.  Most people wake up to snow or cold weather on the mainland. Hawaii never gets a “White” Christmas.

Any family traditions?
Not really.  It is pretty relaxed. Open presents and then my Nana will come over and then the rest of the family will come over to have dinner.

Do you live where it snows? If yes, are you hoping for a white Christmas?
Nope, I’ve never had a white Christmas before.  I’ve spent every Christmas in Hawaii and I am very thankful that I am able to come home for the holidays.  I can’t imagine not spending it with my family.

One thing that makes you happiest at Christmas?
Being with my family and eating delicious food!

What's the best holiday gift you've ever given? And received
I am not sure about either of those...I’ve received some pretty good ones and I’ve given some pretty good ones too.
