ANNIKA Academy

The LPGA has partnered with LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame member Annika Sorenstam’s golf instruction and fitness school, the ANNIKA Academy as the “Official Elite Golf Training Academy of the Symetra Tour”. The ANNIKA Academy will conduct player development sessions on-site at six Symetra Tour events, covering a range of elite training topics such as nutrition, fitness, course management and mental training. Annika herself will also host two Q&A Skype sessions, called Power Hours, with Symetra Tour members, as well as attend the Symetra Tour Championship. Additionally, the ANNIKA Academy Elite Athlete Award will be given to the player who, through her performance in Symetra Tour events and her participation in the ANNIKA Academy development sessions, best demonstrates the same holistic “Winning Approach” philosophy which Annika applied to her game during competition.

With the agreement, the ANNIKA Academy also becomes an approved education provider for the LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals division. LPGA T&CP members will be able to participate in the Academy’s premier certification program, Bring 7. The program allows T&CP members who recruit and accompany seven paying students to attend multi-day golf training sessions conducted by an ANNIKA Academy instructor. Annika, a 72-time winner on the LPGA Tour from 1994-2008, will become an honorary LPGA T&CP member to commemorate her continuous efforts to help teach golfers the game and guide them on a path to success. Through its partnership, the ANNIKA Academy, T&CP and the Symetra Tour will explore new ways to shape the future of women’s golf.



Antigua enters its third year as a Marketing Partner of the Symetra Tour and continues to be the “Preferred Apparel of the Symetra Tour.” With its roots firmly planted in the golf market for the past 30 years, and its foundation of in-stock inventory, the quickest and finest embroidery in the industry and its dedication to impeccable customer service, Antigua product can be found at thousands of golf facilities, resorts and prestigious events around the country. Antigua proudly holds license agreements with the LPGA and PGA Tour, and is a valued partner of the PGA of America, supplying the PGA Ryder Cup Matches since 1991 and the PGA Championship since 1995.

The partnership enables Antigua, a LPGA Licensee, to be the preferred line of apparel offered to Symetra Tour Tournament Organizers as well as provide apparel for use by Tour staff and at Tour owned events. Additionally, Antigua will work with Symetra Tour Professionals to make promotional appearances on behalf of Antigua as well as creating a Player Advisory Council to provide product feedback.

Florida's Natural® Brand, title sponsor of the LPGA developmental tour's (Symetra Tour) season-opening event – Florida's Natural Charity Classic – is also an official partner of the Symetra Tour. As the ‘Official Orange Juice of the Symetra Tour,' the Florida's Natural® Brand will have the opportunity to integrate their brand and product into the tournament experience at twelve women's golf events in 2012 and 2013 between both the LPGA Tour and the Symetra Tour.
